The Process and Technology

• Laser Choice:We operate Q-switched or picosecond lasers, which are the most efficient and have fewer side effects and quicker clearance than older technological versions.
• Treatment Wavelength: The laser is narrowly focused on a specific colour and wavelength to achieve the desired treatment of the ink. Lighter colours require more sessions, while more transparent colours are usually the easiest to remove. Therefore, black and darker shades are generally the most difficult to remove.
• Treatment Sessions: The sessions are typically spaced 4 to 8 weeks apart to allow the skin to heal and the body's lymphatic system to cleanse itself, clearing the ink particles.
• Reducing Discomfort: A topical rub is regularly applied, and a cooling device is used on the spot during the session to maximise comfort.
